About Long Road to Recovery Wellness

A safe harbor for healing — grounded in compassion, guided by clinical expertise.

Our approach

At Long Road to Recovery Wellness, we believe that healing is possible — and that it happens in the context of a safe, trusting therapeutic relationship. Our practice is built on the understanding that trauma profoundly shapes how we experience ourselves, our relationships, and the world around us.

We don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, we draw from evidence-based modalities — including EMDR, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) — tailoring our work to your unique story, strengths, and goals.

Above all, we believe in meeting you where you are. There is no timeline for healing, no prescribed path. We walk alongside you at your pace, honoring your courage every step of the way.

What "trauma-informed" means to us

  • We recognize trauma's impact

We understand that trauma affects the whole person — mind, body, emotions, and relationships. We approach every session with this awareness.

  • We prioritize safety and choice

You are always in control. We create an environment where you feel physically and emotionally safe, and we respect your boundaries.

  • We focus on strengths, not pathology

You are not broken. You are a survivor. We help you reconnect with the resilience and coping strategies that have carried you this far.

  • We avoid re-traumatization

We are trained to recognize triggers and avoid practices that might re-traumatize. Healing should never feel like reliving the wound.

Our philosophy

We believe that every person carries within them the capacity for healing. Sometimes, that capacity gets buried under pain, fear, and the weight of what we've endured. Therapy is not about "fixing" you — it's about gently uncovering the strength and wholeness that have always been there.

At Long Road to Recovery Wellness, you will find a therapist who listens deeply, honors your story, and brings both warmth and professional rigor to every session. We are not here to judge, to label, or to rush. We are here to help you find your way back to yourself.
